How to create a rooftop garden with English roses
Rooftops and balconies filled with roses are a wonderful sight. Plant in a container that suits your style and enjoy a plethora of colour and fragrance on any size of terrace. For a minimal look plant white or cream English roses in long, contemporary containers, or plant rich colours in terracotta for a more rustic feel.
Featured rose (left) Boscobel® and (right) Lady of Shalott®
Bears large, many petalled, deep pink rosettes, each with a button eye and a refreshing light-medium fruity fragrance. With a neat and upright growth habit, it is perfect for growing in pots.
Featured rose Desdesmona® (Auskindling)
Rich orange-red buds open to chalice-shaped blooms, filled with loosely arranged, orange petals. It forms a bushy shrub with very slightly arching stems, making for a fabulous display in pot.
Bring home a touch of the Mediterranean by placing containers of vibrant orange and pink roses close to your seating areas. The perfect spot for a leisurely latte or late night alfresco dining.
